Carson Wentz a Four-Point Road Dog Against Sam Darnold and the 49ers
Ladies and gentlemen, it’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for. Carson Wentz is starting an NFL game:

Carson will start his first game since January 1st of last year, when he threw three interceptions in a 24-10 loss to the Browns. That was the game when he was booed by the Washington fans, who wanted Taylor Heinicke instead.
I will be pulling for Carson to win this game, 1) because I hate the 49ers and 2) because he played an important role in the Eagles’ Super Bowl-winning season. For that 2017 campaign, we will be forever grateful, unless you are Kyle Pagan, Bob Wankel, or Investor Mike, who hate “zit neck” Wentz more than anything in this world.
Anyway, the Rams are a four-point road dog in this one. +180 on the moneyline with the over/under currently set at 41.5. Week 18 is when betting sickos make their NFL money, because there are all sorts of random guys suiting up and playing meaningful minutes. Case in point, some of the books are avoiding anytime touchdown scorers, or haven’t posted them yet. The Jets and Patriots have a 30.5 over/under, which is incredible. Should be a total slopfest.
If you’re a Wentz hater, here are some plays from ESPN Bet to look at:
- Rams total points: under 17.5
- first Rams drive outcome: punt/-145
- Rams first offensive drive to score: no/-260
- Rams first offensive drive to cross the 50 yard line: no/-135
- Rams first offensive drive to achieve a first down: no/+210
- race to 10 points: 49ers/ -170
- race to 15 points: 49ers/ -190
- halftime/fulltime: 49ers+49ers/even odds
Good luck!
