We’ve written a few stories about season ticket holder gifts across Philadelphia’s major sports teams. STH usually get some sort of package at the beginning of the year, and Eagles fans have been complaining for several years now because they think the gifts are shit.

Last year, they got a green flag with a magnet and some coupons. In 2022, it was a reusable bag, a key chain schedule, some stickers, and a couple of sponsor coupons.

It looks like the Eagles listened to the negative feedback because they did something really nice this year. They invited season ticket holders to the Linc, set up photo ops with the Super Bowl rings and trophy, gave a stadium tour, and made custom hats labeled with the section each person sits in:

Fans say the side patch on the hats show the year you became a season ticket holder, which is really cool. I think that’s the kind of stuff that resonates. The cheap bags and magnets and keychain schedules? You can get all that shit at ACME, or from your realtor in the mail. But this year they combined an experience (going down to the stadium, taking photos), with a customized piece of merchandise that you can’t get anywhere else. The hat is unique, and STH say it’s “nice quality, too… they really listened and stepped up this year.”

Shout out to the Birds for listening to the feedback. It might not seem like a big deal, but you could make a case that the team has done less for the fans over the last 10 years. There’s no more training camp, no free sessions, and the STH gift was trash. You’re going to have a million bazillion fans regardless, because you’re the Eagles, but these kinds of things resonate and show that the franchise still cares about the fans, especially the most loyal customers who have been with the team for decades now.
