Roy Halladay met with the media yesterday (along with Ruben Amaro and Jayson Werth).  Not surprisingly, he was most blown away by the fans:

"To me, the fans stood out.  To sell out every single game including the two exhibition games we played before the season started,  that was impressive.  I was really blown away from day one to the very end how much support we received."

He then said that his spring training will begin on Dec. 1, when he starts working out in Clearwater (he lives very close to the Phillies' spring training complex).

The man is not human.

Speaking of baseball in winter, Jamie Moyer will play winter ball at age 48.  [Harball Talk]

Jamie Moyer will pitch for the Escogido Lions in Dominican Winter League this year.

That's right, folks, the Escogido Lions.  J-Mo clearly wants to pitch next year, however, it might be time to hang it up.
