So much for losing for Hughes.

The Flyers extended their winning streak to four games last night in their first game since their bye week/all-star breaks with a 3-1 win over the Winnipeg Jets. Phil Varone, Travis Konecny, and James van Riemsdyk all scored goals in the win, while Carter Hart stopped 31 of 32 shots.

Despite the four-game streak, the Flyers are still one of the worst teams in the league. But they’re slowly digging themselves out of the basement. They’re 12 points out of the final wild card spot, which is currently being held by the Penguins.

Chuck Fletcher told the media Claude Giroux is really the Flyers’ only untouchable trade piece (I’d probably think he might think Carter Hart would be in that group as well). The team could potentially be buyers and sellers. So it’s probably safe to say goodbye to anything Jack Hughes related.

The team is back in action tonight as they take on the Rangers in New York. Puck drop is set for 7:30 PM on NBC Sports Philadelphia and NBCSN.

The Roundup:

There’s potential Bryce Harper news on the horizon. MLB The Show, who has Harper on their cover, teased ahead to today. It could also just be a promo as they mess with us. I’m betting on the latter.

Some personalized Harper Phillies bats also surfaced online.

Good news for the Sixers tonight: Joel Embiid, Jimmy Butler, and Wilson Chandler will all play tonight against the Lakers, who probably won’t have LeBron James again. It’s a late 10:30 PM tip on TNT.

With the Anthony Davis trade request news coming out yesterday, how does it affect the Sixers?

It appears there’s a ton of dumb people on Twitter that don’t understand the concept of the mailbag article.

In the news, it’s gonna snow and get really freaking cold.
