Your Tuesday Morning Roundup

First, he was Rookie of the Month. Then, he was the Second Star of the Week.
Now, Carter Hart is helping the Flyers with an eight-game winning streak that continued last night as the team edged Vancouver 2-1. It was also their 2,000th victory in franchise history, becoming the first non-Original 6 team to reach that number.
Hart recorded 41 saves on the night, but none bigger than this one in the third period.
One of the many reasons for the @NHLFlyers 8-game win streak.

After the game, Nolan Patrick said his teammate is going to be a superstar in this league:
Nolan Patrick on Carter Hart: "I played against him a few times in junior. Obviously, I knew he was good and he was highly talked about, but I didn’t know he was THAT good. He’s going to be a superstar for a long time so it’s obviously nice to have him on your end."

He could’ve had a shutout against the Canucks if it weren’t for a Brock Boeser goal. Hart played aggressive coming out of his net and trying to clear the puck, but Boeser found it and put a shot through Hart and another Flyer into the goal.
Sean Couturier and Jake Voracek scored the two Philadelphia goals.
Up next is a Thursday night game against the Kings. As of now, the Flyers and their -24 goal differential are five points out of the second Wild Card spot in the East:
The Roundup:
The Corey Brewer era is over. The Sixers won’t re-sign the veteran to a contract for the rest of the year after his second 10-day contract expired.
The trade deadline is in a couple of days. Get yourselves prepared with this Sixers primer.
The Sixers take on the Raptors tonight at 8 PM on NBC Sports Philadelphia and TNT. Landry Shamet will meet up with former Wichita State teammate Fred VanVleet, who took him under his wing and gave him advice on going pro:
“Going through the whole draft process, he needed advice and someone to talk to about things and how to handle it,” VanVleet said. “First thing I told him was to leave, leave while he could. It’s a chance to change your life forever and change your family’s life forever. I told him to bet on himself.”
VanVleet noted that college players often are pressured to return to college rather than leave early for the NBA, and that the confidence of a teenager can easily be shaken by outside noise from coaches, draft projections, and anyone else that chooses to weigh in.
“They almost make you feel guilty for wanting to go be a millionaire and live out your dreams,” VanVleet said. “People will tell you that you’re not going to get drafted or all that it won’t work out. But he knew how good he was, we all knew how good he was.”
In notable Eagles news, former QB G.J. Kinne is returning to the team as an offensive assistant.
With Carson Wentz discussing the PhillyVoice article, is Joe Santoliquito vindicated?
In other sports news, the Pelicans are thinking about waiting longer before trading Anthony Davis. Or asking the Lakers for a ton of assets, including four first-round picks.
If Lonzo Ball is traded, LaVar wants him to go to Phoenix.
The Bengals officially hired Zac Taylor and the Dolphins officially hired Brian Flores as their next head coaches.
New Orleans really did boycott the Super Bowl they’re cry babies. Meanwhile, Kevin Hart tried to get on the field after the Super Bowl again, although he says it was staged, and Meek Mill performed at the Patriots’ afterparty. Kyle wasn’t happy with that.
In the news, a bill will be introduced in City Council to require Philly businesses to allow cash as a payment. Some of going cashless.
The State of the Union address is tonight.
