This includes DraftKings Sportsbook through its Michigan partnership with the Bay Mills Indian Community.
Unlike in other states, including Pennsylvania, which have seen staggered launch dates from operators and a three-day soft launch period, Michigan is planning for a flag-drop stop: everyone goes.
This will open up competition for DraftKings, since its chief competitor, FanDuel Sportsbook, will go live on the same day, along with BetRivers, William Hill, BetMGM and even Barstool Sportsbook.
Typically, DraftKings had been the first out of the gate in other states. But they’ll share the spotlight in Michigan.
