Dave Gettleman Retiring, Joe Judge Reportedly Keeping His Job
NFC East news.
Dave Gettleman is retiring:
Dave Gettleman officially announced his retirement as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the New York Giants.
— Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) January 10, 2022
Gettleman is now 70 years old. He had been running the football side of things up there since 2018, and was GM of the Panthers team that went to the Super Bowl.
But the BIG STORY on Action News is that head ball coach Joe Judge is reportedly keeping his job:
I'm told #Giants HC Joe Judge "is staying," per league source.

Now listen, if Josina gets this one right, she is immediately removed from the shit list. She’s been on it for several years now, dating back to the genesis of the alleged Alshon Jeffery snitch saga. She was responsible for one of the greatest media days in Philadelphia sporting history, and I summed it up in a story from 2020:
It’s always been a smoke and fire situation with Anderson, only circumstantial evidence, but a lot of it. The initial reporting, which was critical of Wentz, was always linked to Alshon Jeffery* because of numerous tweets referencing on-record conversation between the pair. It took a hard left turn when Howard Eskin went on the 94 WIP morning show and told Angelo Cataldi straight-up that Jeffery was Anderson’s source.
That resulted in Anderson coming out and denying the report, saying that Eskin had “no knowledge” of who her source was. Jeff McLane then asked Doug Pederson, later that day, if Eskin was leaking information on behalf of the team. Those two reportedly exchanged words after the press conference, then Mike Missanelli jumped into the fray, calling Howard a water boy and accusing him of buying his own Super Bowl ring.
What a day that was. Tons of fun.
But for real, if Josina is correct that the Giants are retaining fake tough guy Joe Judge, then we can all rejoice. She comes off the shit list and she is immediately inducted into the Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia.
*As a side note, since Judge is being retained in New York, Central Bucks South is going to have to look elsewhere for a new head coach.
