By Bob Wankel

The 2020 Eagles NFL Draft odds emphatically suggest the team is poised to give Carson Wentz some much needed help at receiver with its first pick. Will general manager Howie Roseman finally pair his franchise quarterback with a dynamic wideout, or will he address one of his roster’s other major needs? There’s already plenty of intrigue ahead of Thursday night and those located in states such as New Jersey (where betting on the draft is legal) can add extra element of drama by wagering on the action.

Three Players With Best Eagles NFL Draft Odds
Our Kevin Kinkead took a closer look at three players who he feels are good bets to become the newest member of the Eagles on Thursday night. Odds are courtesy of FOX Bet.
Justin Jefferson (+160)
Jefferson is viewed as the fourth-best receiver in this class, a guy who might be available at #21 if the Eagles sit pat and wait. He put up monstrous numbers playing out of the slot this year, but lined up mostly as an outside receiver the year prior, before the Joe Brady passing game revolution at LSU. The Eagles would have to decide whether they need a slot or outside player more before making this draft pick.
CeeDee Lamb (+850)
Lamb is thought by many to be the best receiver in the draft, and as such the Eagles would have to trade up to get him. San Francisco GM John Lynch is on the record saying that he’s open to trading out of pick #13, and if the Birds can swing a deal there, they could land the stud Oklahoma wideout who played his best football in big games.
Kenneth Murray (+900)
He’s the consensus top linebacker in the draft, which is a position the Eagles direly need to address, unless you’re cool with Nate Gerry, Jatavis Brown, Alex Singleton, and Duke Riley in 2020.
Murray is a quick and physical player who always seems to be around the ball, just a solid tackler who covers a lot of ground. He logged 102 tackles with four sacks and four knocked down passes in 2019 for the Sooners.
Three Players With Long Shot Eagles NFL Draft Odds
Looking for some potential Eagles targets that provide a bit more value? Kevin has three long shot options to consider:
Brandon Aiyuk (+1100)
This guy is a YAC monster and really explosive with the ball in his hands. Bit of a late bloomer who only had one elite season of college production, but if Jefferson is off the board at 21, there’s an opportunity for the Eagles to trade back a few spots and snag the Arizona State receiver in the later portion of the first round.
Xavier McKinney (+1700)
Are the Birds set at safety? Does Rodney McLeod and Jalen Mills work for you?
If not, McKinney is a do-it-all player who can help in run support while handling traditional safety duties as well. The Alabama product is being mocked in the 18-23 range right now.
Patrick Queen (+2200)
If Murray is the best linebacker in the draft, then Queen isn’t far behind.
He’s a little inexperienced as a one-year starter, but has all of the physical tools to be the next great LSU LB in the NFL. Queen played solid games against Georgia, Oklahoma, and Clemson to wrap up his final year in Baton Rouge.
Eagles NFL Draft Prediction
Here is Kevin’s pick on the Eagles’ first round selection:
Justin Jefferson
It wouldn’t be a shock if the Eagles landed any of the aforementioned players, but Jefferson is the favorite for a reason. The Eagles, a team in desperate need of help at wide receiver, have been short on draft selections in recent years, making a trade up less palatable. If they stay put at No. 21, then Jefferson will most likely be the top talent at the position left on the board. In the case of the Eagles and Jefferson, the most logical scenario is the one that ultimately plays out.
