Howard Eskin, who’s had several Twitter boners over the past few weeks, tweeted late last night that Gus Bradley will be coming to Philly today, perhaps to finalize a deal with the Eagles.

Eskin, aggregated:

"[Head coach] situation is crazy. Source just told me Gus Bradley coming to Phila to finalize deal. Think Eagles could have coach in 24 hrs. Crazy. Think Eagles [head coach] could obviously have come down to Whisenhut and Bradley. Nothing done but source: finalizing deal with Bradley. [We’ll see.] Tuesday could be BIG sports day in Phila. Maybe new Eagles [head coach] by end of day and maybe Giroux as new Flyers. Two BIG stories. [Maybe.]"

See, I don’t get why naming a new captain is such a big deal. Sure, it’d be an honor for Giroux, and that C looks pretty nice on his sweater… but with the way the media has been treating it this past week, you would think that G was going to be knighted or something. Plus, being captain didn’t end so well for the last few guys (well…).

Back to the Eagles: Eskin originally had Reid buying a house in Arizona… and we know how that worked out. So we’ll take this with a grain of salt for now. But Gus Bradley, a defensive guy, may be your Eagles coach by the end of the day.
