Your Wednesday Morning Roundup

The Sixers lost to the Raptors last night. That’s your game recap.
Mainly because many of you are waking up to the aftermath of another Woj bomb.
The bomb:
Sources: Clippers and Sixers have agreed to trade Tobias Harris, Boban Marjanovic, Mike Scott for Landry Shamet, Wilson Chandler, Mike Muscala, 2020 first-rounder, 2021 unprotected 1st via Miami and two second rounders.

Sixers sending 2021 and 2023 second-round picks to Clippers, per sources.

What a time.
The best news: They plan on Harris, Joel Embiid, Ben Simmons, and Jimmy Butler all staying long-term:
The Sixers are budgeting to re-sign and keep a new Big 4, including free agents Tobias Harris and Jimmy Butler this summer, league sources tell ESPN. Philadelphia has long-term plans for Harris, Butler, Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons together.

So right now, the starting five is Simmons, JJ Redick, Butler, Harris, and Embiid. That’s a damn good starting five.

But the bench loses another young piece in Shamet as well as Muscala. The main contributors are T.J. McConnell, Furkan Korkmaz, Jonah Bolden, and Amir Johnson (who could be on his way out with Boban in). You also have Shake Milton on a two-way deal as well as waiting for Zhaire Smith, Justin Patton, and Markelle Fultz to return whenever.
Here we come, buyout market. Corey Brewer, here we come again?
And with that, Tobias Harris is my new favorite Tobias. Here’s a montage of my now second favorite Tobias, Dr. Tobias Fünke:

The Roundup:
Maybe Nick Foles can join the Sixers. Jay Wright posted a video of a nice jumper yesterday.
But there was also more Foles news. The team notified Foles they’d exercise his 2019 option, but the former Super Bowl MVP told the team he’ll pay back $2 million for free agency. Up next is the Eagles deciding whether to slap the franchise tag on him and trying to move him via trade.
Elsewhere, some beat writers weren’t happy they didn’t get invited to speak to Carson Wentz regarding the PhillyVoice story.

Some hot stove talk for the Phillies! They still might be in on catcher J.T. Realmuto.
Meanwhile, the team did sign catcher Drew Butera.
Lenny Dykstra explained why he didn’t make the cut for the Phillies’ Wall of Fame vote.
A small trade deadline update in the NHL from Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic.
There is serious interest in the hulking, talented player and regardless of Philly’s recent run, my understanding is that more likely than not Simmonds will still be moved before the Feb. 25 trade deadline.
Boston, Tampa Bay, Nashville and Winnipeg are among several contenders sources say have shown different levels of interest in Simmonds. There are no surprises on that list.
It should be noted that Simmonds has a 12-team no-trade list clause in his contract but my understanding of the situation is that it shouldn’t be a factor. I think GM Chuck Fletcher and Simmonds’ agent Eustace King are largely on the same page, have engaged in good communication and have an understanding of how things might play out.
