Revenge can be sweet sometimes.

Despite a bad road trip, it ended on a good note as the Phillies took care of the Mets in 6-0 win. Bryce Harper got an RBI double in the top of the first. That would be it for the scoring for a long time.

Vince Velasquez went five innings and gave up three hits with six strikeouts and three walks. Jason Vargas pitched fairly well, but gave up a run.

So while the scoring was bland for the majority of the game, things picked up in the eighth with Maikel Franco, Phil Gosselin, and Roman Quinn recording three straight RBI singles. And then in the ninth, Rhys Hoskins hit a homer to left off Mets reliever Jacob Rhame, the pitcher that nearly beaned him the night before. Hoskins followed with a 34-second trot that was phenomenal. Take it in, fella.
