Sal Pal Will Not Appear on The Mike Missanelli Show This Year
This afternoon a couple of guys who follow the Crossing Broad Twitter account shared a bit of RADIO WARS information:
@CrossingBroad Missanelli just mentioned no Sal Pal this year on 97.5. Management decisions.

I was not listening to Mike’s show at the time, so I’ll have to go back and pull this audio later in order to get the full transcript and context. The show podcast doesn’t go up until after 6 p.m., but if you got a snippet, email me at kevin@crossingbroad.com and we can add it to this post.
To elaborate on what Captain Spoiler is talking about, Sal went on Mike’s show last year after the Week 17 Eagles loss and gave one of the worst radio hits of all time and eternity. He had come out two days earlier on Dan Patrick’s show with the opinion that the NFL should open an “investigation” into the Eagles’ decision to tank the Washington game, which is fucking absurd. Ridiculous. So when Missanelli asked him to talk about that, Sal instead turtled up and had trouble defending his opinion.
Here’s the first portion that I clipped of that:
And then later in the hit, Sal hung up on Mike:
To reiterate, I have no clue if this particular thing has anything to do with Sal not being on the show this year. I just wanted to put that in here as a refresher for those of you who missed this story last year.
Speaking in general terms, it does seem like Sal has lost his ‘fast ball,’ so to speak, and hasn’t really been at the forefront of Eagles news for some time now. He’s still with ESPN and 97.5 has their affiliation with ESPN talent, so it’s intriguing to hear that Sal Pal won’t be involved this year. He’d been going on Mike’s show for many years.
