1. DraftKings Sportsbook

2. FanDuel Sportsbook

FanDuel is the biggest online sportsbook, in terms of handle, by a pretty wide margin over DraftKings. While both were neck and neck throughout the course of the first full football season following the overturn of PASPA, FanDuel has steadily gained an advantage since. Part of the reason, we suspect, is due to MASSIVE onboarding offers surrounding Super Bowls. A 55 to 1 odds blitz was blasted across all marketing channels this year and undoubtedly onboarded a substantial number of new customers.

Still, for us that doesn’t put them at the top of the list.

While FanDuel has one of the best interfaces of any sports betting app – it is clean, simple to use, and instantly makes sense to betters and non-betters alike – we think it is occasionally buggy and not as polished as the likes of DraftKings and FOX Bet.

FanDuel offers better live betting than FOX Bet, but the overall experience is not as, call it, fun. Lines tend to be a bit more expensive, odds boosts aren’t as strong, and the variety is quite there.

Still, their same-game parlay feature is welcome and their signup bonus does have a unique advantage.

Whereas DraftKings requires a substantial play-through, FanDuel wants customers to know that its $1,000 risk-free bet offer is eligible for withdrawing and paid back on the qualifying bet. So not only will the winnings of the “free bet” be paid, but so will the stake. This is unique and makes the signup bonus genuinely useful… and at a large amount.

3. BetMGM

As one of the newest entrants to the VA betting market, BetMGM is making significant progress. What was initially an also-ran product when it launched as “PlayMGM” in New Jersey in 2018, the gaming behemoth has poured money and marketing into its BetMGM product.

As a result, MGM has a compelling offering that gives the online incumbents a serious run for their money. (The league partnerships and Jamie Foxx commercial don’t hurt either.)
