This page on The Dallas Morning News’ website – “Reports: Phillies offer contract to Josh Hamilton, deal could be done tonight” – was quickly removed.
The URL was sent to Hardball Talk's Craig Calcaterra by a reader, and the landing page, viewable through Google cache, is nothing more than a slideshow of Hamilton's top 10 moments as a Ranger. So I wouldn’t get too excited.
But, there’s at least some folks in Texas who are preparing for Hamilton to go elsewhere. And it looks like the folks over at DallasNews.com were simply getting ready, should Hamilton leave the Rangers for, say, a team like the Phillies.
I really wish they’d just sign him already and get it over with.
