Cole Hamels can be traded to LAD, LAA, STL, WAS, ATL, NYY, BOS, TEX, SD without his permission, sources tell @Ken_Rosenthal and me.

Last night, Fox Sports’ Jon Morosi sent out the heartbreaking tweet above. Those are, reportedly, nine teams that are not on Cole Hamels’ no-trade list. The teams listed are the teams in Cole’s home state of California (Dodgers, Padres, and Angles), a team Cliff Lee probably told him was nice (Rangers), some big name clubs (Yankees and Red Sox), and the team from where his wife is from (Cardinals). Also, for some very hurtful and confusing reason, Cole could be dealt to our division rivals in D.C. and Atlanta. He would not, however, accept a trade to Miami or the Mets, because he’s not an idiot.
Here are the places I wouldn’t mind Cole Hamels going, if he’s going to leave:
1. Anywhere in the AL
2. Anywhere in the NL, outside the NL East
