Last night was not the night for the Phillies. I think J.T. Realmuto’s face pretty much says it all:

That’s probably the same face those who had the Phillies at FanDuel Sportsbook PA made after the team lost for the 11th consecutive time when attempting to reach seven games over .500.

Now, they must win today as a home underdog in order to prevent dropping the series to a Mets team that entered last night riding a six-game losing streak.

Of course, if you would like to completely ignore baseball (and I don’t blame you if you do), then I have good news. It’s the first full college football Saturday of the season, giving us tons of other action to check out, and there’s plenty of incentive to do so with this FanDuel +2019 odds college football promotion.

Basically, place a  $10 point spread bet on any college football game, and if you win, FanDuel will pay out $201.90.

Let’s get into today’s action with our betting rundown.

Mets-Phillies Odds

Here are the current odds for today’s Mets-Phillies game at FanDuel Sportsbook. Odds are current as of 10 a.m. Saturday morning:

      Spread     Money        Total
Mets      -1.5 (+136)   -114   Over 9.5 (-116)
Phillies     +1.5 (-160)   +100   Under 9.5 (-106)

Mets-Phillies Trends to Know

The Phillies are 40-30 at home this season, but have actually lost the average $100 bettor a total of a $81 dollars in this role.  Meanwhile, the Mets are 31-39 on the road, costing bettors $842 dollars in such games.

The Mets are 15-13 as a road favorite, which hasn’t been profitable, while the Phillies are only 4-8 as a home underdog. Basically, neither of these teams have been inspiring in these roles.

The Phillies are 9-5 straight up against the Mets this season. They’re 2-3 when Jason Vargas starts.

Vargas, of course, will be going up against his former team in this one. Meanwhile, Steven Matz will take the ball for the Mets. The last time he started at Citizens Bank Park, well, things didn’t end so well.

He allowed eight runs while failing to record an out. Something tells me the outcome this afternoon may be a bit different.

Pittsburgh-Virginia Odds at FanDuel Sportsbook

    Spread     Money        Total
Virginia     -2.5 (-115)  -140   O 46.5 (-110)
Pittsburgh     +2.5  (-105)  +120   U 46.5 (-110)

Many believe that it’s Virginia’s time to shine, but Pitt has been a good underdog playing under head coach Pat Narduzzi.

The Panthers are 15-11-2 ATS overall as an underdog during his tenure, but they have been simply outstanding under him as a home underdog of four points or less–they are 5-1 ATS in such games.

Penn State Odds at FanDuel Sportsbook

What on earth is going on with this game? This was the spread as of 8 a.m. this morning:

    Spread     Money        Total
Idaho     +39.5 (-110)  OFF  58.5
Penn State     -39.5  (-110)  OFF  58.5

The spread is now Penn State -46. That’s a 6.5-point jump in a little over two hours. Incredible.

It’s worth noting that Penn State hasn’t been a favorite of 40 or more points since at least the 2005 season.

Something to know: Idaho has dropped four straight games as an underdog of 39 or more points.

Oregon-Auburn Odds at FanDuel Sportsbook

    Spread     Money        Total
Oregon     +4 (-105)  +150   O 55.5 (-110)
Auburn     -4  (-115)  -180   U 55.5 (-110)

Oregon-Auburn Trends to Know

The Ducks and Tigers square off in the day’s lone Top 25 matchup.

The spread has surged to Auburn -4 as of Saturday morning at 10 a.m. after spending most of Friday at Auburn -3.5, while the total has sat firm at 55.5 in recent days.

Oregon has Heisman hopeful Justin Herbert at quarterback, but the Ducks have been an absolutely miserable play as a short underdog since the start of the 2016 season. They are only 2-9-1 ATS when an underdog of three points or more during that span.

Conversely, Auburn is 5-1 ATS since the start of the 2016 season when favored between three and six points and 6-2 ATS when favored by six points or less.

$500 Risk Free Bet
