Seth Joyner, on his own show, announced that he’s leaving NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Eagles pregame and postgame:

With Joyner’s departure, 50% of the desk will be gone, with now only Barrett Brooks and Michael Barkann still there.

Whether you like the postgame show or not, you could argue that with Ray Diddy calling it a career it’s good to get some fresh blood in there. Joyner played the “tough as nails former player that thinks everyone in the NFL today is soft” role very well. I think Barrett Brooks is a more like-able former player who can break down a game instead of a guy screaming at you after the Eagles lose. NBCS Philly also seems to be putting a lot of marketing dollars behind Barrett, as he’s the main draw for Birds Huddle, unless you’re horny, which means you’re definitely watching for Taryn Hatcher.

So who’s going to replace Ray Diddy and Seth? Maybe there will be more live shots of John Clark smiling like the Cheshire Cat from the Linc. Maybe a segment or two with their go-to betting guy, Brad Feinberg. Will Reuben Frank or Dave Zangaro assume the position? Will the Gov be back? Kevin will “effort.”

Where will Seth go? According to Joyner, he already has something lined up that people will know about in the next couple of weeks. There will be billboards. Here at the Crossing Broad Sportsbook and Casino we have odds for his next gig:
