We’ve spent a lot of time talking about how well Bryce Harper hits at Citizens Bank Park.

In 179 career at bats, he has a .930 on-base plus slugging percentage to go along with 48 hits, 14 home runs and 32 RBI. Those are great numbers in a ballpark which now serves as his home stadium.

One of the quirks of staying in the National League East is that Harper has familiarity with the other parks he’ll be frequenting over the next 13 years, should he play out the entirety of his $330 million contract.

Here’s how he’s done at other NL East parks over the years, with dimensions and park factors courtesy of Swish Analytics:

Citi Field

Career:

  • 56 games
  • 205 at bats
  • 56 hits
  • 11 extra base hits
  • 12 home runs
  • 35 RBI
  • .273 batting average
  • .374 on base percentage
  • .502 slugging percentage
  • .877 OPS

Citi Field is larger than CBP at the left and center field walls, but measures the same 330 feet to right field with a streamlined eight foot wall, while Citizens Bank Park extends from 6 to 13 feet looking left to right.

SunTrust Park

Career:

  • 16 games
  • 54 at bats
  • 17 hits
  • 4 extra base hits
  • 5 home runs
  • 16 RBI
  • .315 batting average
  • .471 on base percentage
  • .667 slugging percentage
  • 1.138 OPS

Harper has done extremely well in a small sample size at the Braves’ new ballpark out in Cobb County.

Previously, he put up a career .816 OPS at Turner Field over the course of 42 games and 150 at bats. For comparison, SunTrust was built with the same dimensions as Turner Field, but the latter had a consistent eight foot wall. SunTrust has a higher wall trending from left field to right field, which you can see here:

Nationals Park

Career:

  • 472 games
  • 1,663 at bats
  • 472 hits
  • 104 extra base hits
  • 92 home runs
  • 275 RBI
  • .284 batting average
  • .394 on base percentage
  • .518 slugging percentage
  • .912 OPS

Nationals Park is larger than other NL East stadiums, which is why you’re not getting as many home runs, especially to right field, where the wall is 335 feet. That’s five feet deeper than SunTrust, Citi Field, and CBP.

Marlins Park

Career:

  • 58 games
  • 202 at bats
  • 51 hits
  • 13 extra base hits
  • 9 home runs
  • 33 RBI
  • .252 batting average
  • .350on base percentage
  • .460 slugging percentage
  • .810 OPS

We know that Marlins Park is not a hitter’s park. It was originally built with a center field wall stretching 418 feet from home plate, which was reduced to 407 during a 2016 renovation. Still, that’s a longer plate-to-center span than any other NL East arena except for Citi Field.

Go through the numbers and you’ll find that most hitters won’t have great numbers in Miami, simply for the fact that home runs turn into fly balls or doubles. Look no further than J.T. Realmuto, who posts a .678 OPS at Marlins Park vs. a career OPS of .768.

Marlins Park:

In conclusion, you see good numbers across the board, and if you look down the list of MLB ballparks, you’ll see every NL East venue except for Marlins park in the top half of Bryce Harper’s career OPS numbers:
