What a weekend. The Eagles didn’t play. The Phillies weren’t good enough to play. The Sixers aren’t allowed to play. And the Flyers couldn’t beat the Blues.

It’s as if Daria, the hippie chick from American Dad, Jan Brady, and Vada Sultenfuss got together to hang out and entertain us for the weekend. Just sad.

Good news is that our readers were on point with their stalking and borderline uncomfortable pictures this weekend. Ryan Howard on crutches? You bet. What else? Well, you’ll just have to keep reading.

A couple of quick notes:

– Make sure to stop by Drinker’s Philadelphia this week to watch the Flyers and, on Sunday, the Eagles. $1 hot dogs during all games. $1 Rolling Rock ponies and $3 Jager shots all day, every day.

– Philly Phaithful is plowing through their assortment of brand new Flyers t-shirts. Jagr, Timmo, Broad St. Broad, and Bryz– all here. Check it out.

– BC Sports is selling tickets to a non-profit scholarship fund, the Otho Davis Foundation. Attendees include: Mike Ditka, Dick Vermeil, Ron Jaworski, Harold Carmichael, Cris Carter, Eric Allen, Seth Joyner, Clyde Simmons, Mike Quick and many other players and coaches from the “Buddy Ryan Era.” Click here for more details.

If they were smart, they’d put advertisements on the bottom of plastic beer cups. Ahh, shit. Sorry.

– Philly.com is five days late on the Pat Croce is looking for Sir Francis Drake story. Apparently, Croce found Drake’s ship, but still hasn’t located his body. I’m sure our paper of record will let you know five days after he does.

– Ilya Bryzgalov takes a subtle dig at the defense.

Luuuuuke, I am your brother. Brayden will play against Luke Schenn tonight. I’m sorry for that awful pun.

– The anatomy of a baseball trade.

– Bill Lyon, legend, writes about The Mighty Macs.

– Here’s a Viking kicking a Packer in the nuts.

– Something, something breasts.

– Asante Samuel is a crybaby.
